are conducted at the school for three broad
categories namely Hydrographic Officers,
Hydrographic Technicians and Civilian
Hydrographers. The courses for Hydrographic
Officers and Technicians are also open to
foreign nationals. A limited number of civilian
personnel from Govt./semi Govt. organizations
are also admitted to the Hydrographic Officers
and Technicians Courses.

The
Long Hydrographic Course conducted by the School
is also affiliated to University of Goa, India,
for award of Master’s degree in Hydrographic
Surveying.
In
addition, the school also conducts a Free
Hydrographic Course every year for upto six
students from the Indian Littoral States under
the aid programme of the Ministry of External
Affairs, Government of India.

The faculty comprises of highly qualified
instructors with extensive experience in
Hydrography and Marine Sciences. Exposure is
also provided through visiting lecturers from
premier National Institutions.
Excellent
in-house Nautical Cartographic training is
provided by the Cartographic experts at the
National Hydrographic Office, Dehradun, towards
compilation and printing of Navigational Charts
and Publications, both in the conventional and
digital form. The Office conducts the following
courses in nautical cartography every year.
